Finance Nap
Week dating Dec 5-9, 2011

Short @ 19,194

Late last week we saw rebalance activities & the coordinated efforts from central banks driving the index up, coupled with a wave of short cover. I feel investors are still too cautious to go back with genuine buying. With the momentum that drove up the stocks dying down this week, I think index will correct slightly here on light T/O.

Principles: Finance Nap is a weekly recommendation on Hong Kong Hang Seng Index Futures, making a long or short call before the start of the week. The gain/loss will be calculated on Friday closing, based on the difference in index futures points compared to closing of previous Friday. Each call will cost HK$15,000 in investment (which is equivalent to the margin deposit of one future contract), and each HSI point gain / loss is equivalent to HK$50.

For example, if HSI futures this Friday is closed at 23,000. Eric will make either a long or short call as the nap selection before Sunday. Assume next Friday HSI futures closed at 23,200: Eric would win $10,000 (+66.7%). if he make a Long call, and lose $10,000 (-66.7%) if he make a Short call. If Eric choose to x 2 with his call, the gain / loss become double respectively.
